IAIJ Granted Approval To Incorporate.
By Sue E., Journalist
This is a press release and I'm talking to Maurice Ali about the status of the incorporation
Sue: Maurice tell us about the current status of the incorporation of IAIJ ?
Maurice: We have been given approval to incorporate under the name: International Archiving Of Independent Journalists Inc.. What this means is that the IAIJ.com website is validated as a name and the press card is validated to the future corporation. These steps are necessary to protect names and trademarks nationally and internationally and to be taken "seriously" by other organizations - IAIJ.com has to be a seperate legal entity. The actual incorporation is basically mechanical once name approval has been granted.
Sue: What are your future plans given this new development ?
Maurice: We can now move ahead with the press card promotion and distribution. Our long term plans for expansion are now validated. Basically, we can move ahead with the knowledge that our foundation is secure.
More than this is the idea that we must move into places like the universities in Eastern Europe and the Third World and support journalists there. We can do this by granting these journalists credential verification outside the sphere of their governments. In this way their government cannot "take" away their status as a journalist completely.....since they will still be listed as a journalist with us. And the incorporated database is the proof. Our little support group can make major gains here.....far off in the future.....but today is the day we can start to dream very real thoughts. That is what is so special about this moment and why I have issued this press release.
That was Maurice Ali founder of fortressoffreedom.com and IAIJ.com
