Michael Jackson Candlelight Vigil.
By Maurice Ali, Journalist
Toronto, Ontario - A candle light vigil was held today in downtown Toronto for Michael Jackson who may be facing some serious crimes regarding child molestation. The event was publicized days in advance by his fan clubs in several cities, and this one took place at 5:00PM in a downtown open area called Dundas Square. There were the usual placards and the requisite Michael Jackson.....not the real thing.....but an "incredible simulation". The media jumped on this guy while I took a different approach. Fortress Of Freedom.com is the voice of the little guy and thus, I selected what looked like one of the "King Of Pop's" more typical fans. This fan was an attractive young woman holding a picture of Jackson, she readily agreed to an interview and this is what she said:
The Fan
Interview
Not bad, pretty lucid and I expected the worst; but she surprised me; just a fan standing up for her star. The rest ran the gamut from obsessed to just trying to get their face in the papers or on T.V. . It was a cold November day here in Toronto and the wind made this small group of twenty people relight their flames in support of Jackson many times. However, I had to wonder who was the more obsessed - the small group of fans; or the larger group of journalists there to take in the action.....
