Many Thanks to Apple Inc. From FOFSTOCK!

In the two years of advocacy at FOFSTOCK, one of the largest and wealthiest corporations has become the most helpful to our advocacy and that company is APPLE Inc. at its head office in Cupertino, California!
The actual letter sent to the CEO of Apple Inc. Tim Cook!
This all started on February 25 (2025) with a letter we sent to Tim Cook (CEO of Apple Inc.) complaining about artists not having the ability to change their stage name in their own songs that they created from start to finish. We were told by a music distributor that this was a new policy enacted by Apple and was becoming a policy with others.
On March 14 (2025) I got an email from Apple indicating they would like to have a phone conversation with us about the letter! So what started was a series of emails and phone calls and evidence for the original issue of metadata and changing it, but we also got them to look at issues artists were having with aggregators to Apple Music and iTunes, which frankly is going above and beyond their obligation as it was not a part of the original letter.

This is still ongoing with our last phone conversation on the third week of April. All that being said, FOFSTOCK is pleasantly surprised and happy at the access and help in addressing issues related to musicians and small time “indie” organizations still operating in the present musical industry.
FOFSTOCK says “thank you” to APPLE Inc. for their openness and willingness to address issues in the music industry, and generally being a good corporate citizen. It is much appreciated and once again: Thank You!
